Cano Island, just 10 miles ( 16 km) off the southern Pacific Coast, boasts a beautiful reef and a fantastic number of marine species. The island and the Osa Peninsula coast are part of a mammoth marine ecosystem. Mangroves wetlands, miles of fresh and salt water rivers, estuaries and tributaries interact with the Pacific Ocean through tides which provide for an incredible abundance of marine life. Expect to see white tips, mantas, schools of jacks, sea snakes and occasional a whale shark or even humpback whales.

Day 01 San Jose - Corcovado :
San Jose to take flight to Palmar Sur (not included). There we will drive you to Sierpe for a thrilling boat trip to the Drake Bay area. Jinetes de Osa will be you home base for the next five nights! (Full Board)

Day 02 - 05 :
Costa Rica is not just land activities, just imagine how rich is the land and think how the Ocean could be below . Two immersion per day ( Three days) on different points near Isla del Cano plus 1 land excursion

Day 06 San Jose :
After breakfast take local flight back to San Jose ( not included).

  • 1 land excursion to choose from: Corcovado national Park hike, Cano Island snorkeling experience, Waterfall hike, Sea Kayaking or night -Rainforest tour.

  • Roundtrip Ground transfer Palmar Sur - Sierpe - Palmar Sur
  • Roundtrip boat transfer Sierpe - Jinetes de Osa - Sierpe

What to Bring (General Info)

  • Clothing: Costa Rica is a very informal and casual country. Formal attire is only used in the city of San Jose and on very special occasions (Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries)
  • We recommend to bring a sweater for the highland areas, and light loose fitting shirts, pants or jeans, and shorts for the lowland areas.
  • For the beach areas please don't forget to bring a hat or cap, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
  • For the rainforest and the National Parks we recommend hiking boots, a small backpack, water bottle, insect repellent, rainwear, and a pair of binoculars to observe animals
